Terminal A

Terminal A serves all domestic flights (except some flights arriving from the North Caucasus region), all regular international airlines: Aigle Azur, Georgian Airways, Lufthansa, Transaero, Turkish airlines, UTair, with transit to European countries.

The terminal can be accessed via an underground passage (directly from the “Aeroexpress” underground railway station), through the arrivals area on ground level (with public transport or through the multi-storey car parks) or through the check-in area on the second floor (via the flyover).

To reach terminal A from the “Aeroexpress” underground railway station you should take a right after the glass doors. However, bear in mind that there are likely to be large queues at peak time due to the large influx of passengers. In this case, to save time it is advised to instead take a left after the glass doors followed by another left, then go outside into the station square and enter the terminal through the first floor.

Passenger check-in can be found on the second floor of the terminal and closes 40 minutes before the departure time indicated on the ticket (45 minutes for Aigle Azur and Turkish airline flights). Check in time depends on the airline, but it never opens later than two hours before departure.

Please do not be late for check in as staff at the front desk do not have the capability to reopen check-in after it has been closed automatically.

To save time we recommend that you check-in electronically on the appropriate airline website if it is offered, otherwise through the self-service terminals provided at the airport (available on flights operated by Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines and UTair).

The third floor of the terminal includes a cafes, the VIP Lounge and business lounge and the airline offices.

In accordance with the Russian Federal Anti-tobacco law, smoking is prohibited in all airport terminals. Smoking is allowed on the street, at least 15 meters from any entrances to the terminal.

Please note that in accordance with international requirements, the audio announcement for the beginning and end of boarding can only be made in certain areas.

Boarding ends 25 minutes before the departure time indicated on the ticket.
