Vnukovo-Cargo Ltd. is a brand-new and technologically advanced Mail & Cargo Facility; it is one of Russia’s biggest facilities in its class with the main lines of business comprising, among others, the handling and storage of cargo and mail as part of their carriage by air, truck or rail and also the ancillary agency and forwarding services. The Facility sites are located on the grounds of Vnukovo International Airport.
The Mail and Cargo Facility (with the total floor space of 57 thousand square meters) is capable of handling up to 150 thousand tons of airfreight annually. It exceeds the existing airport capacities six to seven-fold. Up-to-date technological and project solutions enable the handling of all types of cargo, including live animals, plants, valuable, diplomatic, dangerous, perishable goods, and other types of cargo that require special facilities for handling, storage and transportation; it is with these varied purposes in mind that a number of special warehouses has been made available within the Terminal. Express cargo handling operations are expected to commence soon and to become one of the in-house staples.
