Check-in at The Airport

  Dear air travelers and Vnukovo Airport visitors, kindly bear in mind that due to the Airport's currently increased security profile, you will have to undergo an extra security check upon entering any of the Airport's three mainline passenger terminals. This may result in occasional queuing, especially at peak departure hours. When planning your trip to the Airport, please allow yourselves sufficient extra time (in addition to the stipulated minima) for the required security checks and preflight formalities.   Passenger and baggage check-in for international flights opens 2 hours and closes 30-40 minutes prior to a flight’s departure. All the international check-in and departures are in Terminal В of Vnukovo International.

On the International Terminal’s first level passengers consecutively clear initial security screening, customs, check-in and immigration. Then, once boarding is announced, passengers are escorted by a gate agent to the appropriate boarding gate or an apron bus to take them to their flight.

Having completed all the pre-flight formalities, you can browse and shop at any of the duty-free shops or relax and enjoy drinks and refreshments at a bar or a café in the Terminal’s ticketed-passengers-only area.

  Passenger and baggage check-in for domestic flights opens 2 hours and closes 40 minutes prior to a flight’s time of departure as indicated in your ticket. All the domestic check-in and departures are in Terminal A of Vnukovo International.

The check-in is on Terminal A's Level Two  where you will need to proceed to your check-in desk, the number of whch you can find out  by consulting one of the Terminal's numerous flight information displays or by logging on to our website. Once checked-in you will be requested to proceed to the preflight passport control and securiy check area on the same level of the Terminal. After you have cleared the passport control and security  you will be admitted into the Terminal’s boarding concourse with its spacious, open-plan gate lounges, cafes, bars, and other concessions and conveniences such as baby swaddling rooms, dedicated smoking areas, etc., all clearly marked with intuitive signage.  Once the boarding for your flight is announced, you and your fellow air travelers will be escorted by a gate agent as far as the jetway or the bus gate  via which to board your flight.

Transfer passenger assistance desks are located on in the ticketed-passengers-only area on Terminal A's Level Two.

There is a dedicated check-in desk for first- and business-class passengers on Level Three of Terminal A, past which you will be admitted into a fist- and business-class passenger lounge, where painstaking care will be taken to make your pre-boarding wait an extra comfortable and pleasant one.

 Terminal A's Level Three is also where the majority of the tenant airlines’ representative offices are currently being relocated.

 The Airport’s first-aid stations located on Level Two of Terminal A and Level One of Terminal D (former domestic one accessed via International Terminal B's first level) are the places to turn to for urgent medical advice and assistance.   Those accompanying sick or physically challenged passengers can ask one of our on-duty paramedics or MDs to make arrangements for ambulance/ambulift delivery of their charge on board their flight or pre-book an assisted disembarkation.

In the unlikely event of a flight delay, passengers traveling with infants and/or children can spend the wait for their flight in the Arirport’s nursery (Level Two of Terminal D) complete with snug baby cots, changing tables, and fun & game areas.  Please note that prior to using the nursery you will be expected to visit either of the first–aid stations in Terminal D (Level One) or on Level Two of Terminal A, for a brief qualifying medical of your child or baby.
