Please read customs regulations carefully before customs control.
If you are not sure that you fully understand the rules, ask a customs officer for advice before you go through customs control.
Violation of customs rules can result in civil (criminal) liability.
Please note that when traveling abroad, in addition to the Russian Federation’s transport restrictions for certain items and substances, other restrictions may apply in accordance with the customs laws and aviation security rules of other countries. Items allowed to be transported in Russia but prohibited in other countries can be seized at the arrival airports of these countries. Aviation security services of Russian airports, as well as customs authorities of the Russian Federation do not check the baggage and carry-on baggage of passengers departing abroad for compliance with the laws of other countries.
The Vnukovo airport checkpoint has a two-channel system of customs control:
Green channel is a specially designated area in Arrivals and Departures. It is intended for individuals crossing the customs border with baggage containing goods for personal use that are not subject to customs clearance, given that such individuals do not have unaccompanied baggage.
Red channel is a specially designated area in Arrivals and Departures. It is intended for individuals crossing the customs border with baggage containing goods that are subject to customs clearance as well as goods to be cleared at the request of these individuals.
