Vnukovo International Airport is expanding language support for its acoustic passenger information system. Two new languages — Armenian and Georgian — have been added. The innovation is aimed at increasing the comfort and availability of information for the growing number of passengers from Transcaucasian countries using the airport’s services.
Now announcements about the beginning and end of boarding, calls for delayed passengers, gate changes and possible flight delays are available in 15 foreign languages in addition to Russian: English, Chinese, German, Spanish, Turkish, Persian (Farsi), Greek, Uzbek, Moldavian, Tajik, Kazakh, Azerbaijani, Kyrgyz, Armenian and Georgian. This means that passengers who do not speak enough Russian can receive all the necessary information about their flights in their native language, which will make their trip more comfortable.
The acoustic information system covers all areas of the Vnukovo airport complex, including check-in halls, screening areas, waiting areas, gate galleries and arrival areas.
Vnukovo International Airport is constantly striving to improve the passenger experience, and the expansion of language support for the acoustic information system is another step in this direction. The innovation symbolizes the dynamic development of the airport as a convenient transportation hub and will be an additional factor in attracting new passengers to international destinations.
