Environmental Management System

The Environmental Management System (EMS) is a series of planned and coordinated management practices in an organization aimed at preventing negative impacts on the environment.

In September 2022, Vnukovo International Airport, JSC, successfully passed the certification audit for the Environmental Management System in compliance with the ISO 14001:2015 international standard and received certification for conformity with ISO 14001:2015 and GOST R ISO 14001-2016.

The success of the EMS depends on the commitment to all levels and functions of an organization, the integration of environmental management into business processes, and the involvement of environmental managers in the overall management system.

The EMS helps organize the approaches to prevention and finding the solution to any environmental problems but mainly to reduce the negative impact on the environment, reduce the risks of emergencies and the scale of consequences (if they occur), increase competitiveness, strengthen international cooperation, develop new markets, improve the image of the organization and to enhance relationships with stakeholders.
