Vnukovo International Airport has received an official letter of appreciation from Turkish Airlines, one of the world’s largest airlines and a Star Alliance member.
Signed by the carrier’s management, the letter emphasises the airport's high standards of ground service that meet the airline’s requirements, its contribution to improving flight punctuality, and the professionalism and excellent coordination of its team in solving operational tasks. The letter also acknowledges the comfortable conditions for passengers and crew.
Turkish Airlines has operated flights from Vnukovo since 2012, carrying almost 13 million passengers during this time. As of today, scheduled flights operate to four popular destinations: Istanbul, Antalya, Bodrum and Dalaman.
This confirmation of gratitude from Turkish Airlines approves theVnukovo International Airport’s status as an exceptionally reliable partner and one of the most technologically advanced air hubs in Russia.
Vnukovo International Airport is one of the largest air transportation hubs in Russia, handling about 200 thousand flights of Russian and foreign carriers every year. The airport’s route network covers the entire territory of Russia, as well as countries around the world. In 2019, Vnukovo International Airport broke a historical record and served more than 24 million passengers. The airport complex with a total area of about 300 thousand square meters has a capacity of up to 35 million passengers per year. Vnukovo International Airport, as the only one among the airports in Russia, has received the gratitude of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin for work achievements and high results in professional activities. In addition, Vnukovo Airport has been recognized as the best airport in the highest category «International Airport» of the national award «Air Gates of Russia» (part of the National Aviation Infrastructure Show, NAIS) for three years in a row.
