Vnukovo International Airport and Mahan Air celebrate 9 years of successful cooperation

On June 1, 2013, Mahan Air, Iran's largest private air carrier based at the country's main Imam Khomeini Airport (Tehran), began operating regular flights from Vnukovo International Airport.

Today, the airline operates direct scheduled passenger flights on the Tehran – Moscow (Vnukovo) – Tehran route three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. In the summer season, an increase in the frequency of flights is expected.

Mahan Air's fleet consists of 41 aircraft of the Boeing and Airbus family (A-310-300, A-340-300, A-340-600). Since May 2022, a wide-body Boeing 747-400 has been additionally delivered to the route.

During the period of fruitful cooperation with Mahan Air, more than 2 thousand flights were performed along the route, more than 230,600 passengers and more than 2 million kg of cargo were transported.

It is important to note that during the COVID-19 pandemic, Mahan Air continued to operate cargo and passenger flights, including the transportation of humanitarian cargo – Sputnik-V vaccines.
