Since the beginning of the year, Vnukovo International Airport has replaced SITA CUTE, a foreign shared-use platform, with the UDPS platform developed by the Russian company Zamar (included in the Register of Russian Software, register entry No. 9484 dated March 4, 2021) as part of our import substitution program and transition to Russian software.
The shared access platform is a software suite that enables the integration of air carriers' applications into a single airport IT infrastructure: check-in desks, boarding counters equipped with various peripheral devices (scanners, boarding pass and baggage tag printers, etc.).
UDPS (Universal Departure Platform Solution) is a product completely developed in Russia, which represents the next generation of shared use technology. It has been adapted for trouble-free operation on the Russian market, and features a range of technology advantages over its foreign competitor.
The system complies with the IATA CUPPS 1.03 international standard, as well as with all passenger service requirements of Russian and foreign airlines. Transition to domestic software enables Vnukovo International Airport to:
- Eliminate the dependency and risks of using foreign SITA software
- Ensure the ability to quickly introduce changes into the software and provide the required level of technical support
- Reduce costs by having the freedom to select equipment suppliers for check-in counters and boarding gates
