Syrian Airlines, the flag carrier of Syria, has been operating a scheduled flight program out of Vnukovo International, connecting the two Nations’ capital cities of Moscow and Damascus and, intermittently, Aleppo, for fifteen years, to the day. June 10, 2008 saw the first Syrian Airlines-operated flight from Damascus land at Vnukovo. A very impressive total of 168,5 thousand passengers, 18 tons of air mail, and 1230 tons of cargo has been carried since the flights commenced.

Vnukovo International Airport is one of Russian Federation’s air transport industry leaders. Year in, year out, the Airport handles close to 200 th flights, operated by carriers both domestic and foreign. Its route network spans all of the Russian Federation, as well as the neighboring Nations and those overseas. In 2019 Vnukovo International broke its own record by handling more than 24 mpax.
Vnukovo’s passenger terminal cluster, measuring around 300 th sq m in total floor space, enables aggregate throughput capacity of up to 35 mpax a year.
