On December 22, Vnukovo Airport held its fifth award ceremony to celebrate the employees who excelled at their jobs in 2022. They were commended by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow, Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, Head of Federal Agency for Air Transport and Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development of Moscow.
In his opening speech, Mikhail Greydin, an honored worker of the Russian transportation industry, congratulated the winners and noted that Vnukovo Airport operates smoothly thanks to the well-coordinated work of its staff members.
Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation commended Boris Sabashvili, Head of Department for Operation and Repair of Buildings and Facilities of the Operation Service, for his accomplishments and many years of diligent work in the transportation industry.
In light of Transport Worker Day, the Head of Federal Agency for Air Transport honored several employees for their years of hard work in civil aviation, professionalism and achievements, including Alexey Gladkikh, Head of Technical Customer Service, Mikhail Zelenin, Technician of Medical Unit Equipment, Sergey Ivanchenko, Shift Supervisor and Head of ARFF Rescue Operations, Ilya Kuzmin, Chief Specialist of the Electric Light and Technical Support of Flights, Olga Marukhina, Lead Specialist and Head of Mandatory Training and Certification Team, Andrey Fedosov, Head of Department of Aviation (Transport) Security Service.
Deputy Mayor of Moscow and Head of Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development of Moscow also acknowledged outstanding work of Viktor Volkov, employee of Service for Integrated Maintenance and Repair of Buildings, Sergey Golikov, employee of Heat and Sanitary Maintenance Service, Yulia Ezhova, Head of Reception and Accommodation Team of the Vnukovo Hotel Complex, Irina Kashirskaya, Executive Controller of Ground Handling of Control and Coordination Center, Olga Kostina, Head of Risk Management Department, Olga Roslova, Lead Engineer and Head of Production and Technical Team of Communication Service.
For the fifth consecutive year, the administration of Vnukovo International Airport presented its main corporate award called “Takeoff of the Year” to the employees who help the company achieve its strategic objectives: introduce new technologies, carry out large-scale reorganizations and contribute to the economic growth of the airport. Dmitry Yerzakovich, First Deputy General Director of Vnukovo International Airport, gave each winner the award, an honorary diploma and a souvenir.

The following employees received the main corporate award “Takeoff of the Year”: Marina Bogatkina, Lead Engineer for Design of Architectural and Structural Solutions of the Technical Customer Service, Yulia Gorshkova, General Physician and Head of Treatment and Prevention Department, Marina Mintsova, Head of Material and Contractual Support Team of Aviation Security Service, Evgeny Kulchitsky, Engineer of Airfield Operation Team of Airfield Service, Tatiana Tipushkina, Head of Baggage Search and Claim Settlement of Passenger Transportation Service, Elena Udovenko, Head of the FFV and PPE Procurement Team.
The “Vnukovo Star” award of the “Rising Star” nomination is traditionally presented to young professionals (under 35 years old) who have achieved significant results in the current year. It was given to Alexander Kryuchkov, Lead Design Engineer of Electrical Systems of the Technical Customer Service of the Investment and Property Management Department, Ivan Matuzov, Mechanic of the Air Control Team of the Electric Light and Technical Support of the Technical Department, Egor Chistyakov, Engineer of the Heat and Sanitary Maintenance Service of the Technical Department.
Mikhail Zubakhin, Senior Inspector of Aircraft Preflight Inspection and Weapons Delivery Team of Aviation Security Service, won the “Best Mentor” award according to the overall rating of mentors.
Representatives of Vnukovo Airport's strategic partners, AZUR Air and Armenian Airlines, congratulated the winners and presented them with certificates for a free flight for two people.
The “Trader of the Year” award went to Galina Polyakova, Lead Specialist of the Financial Department of Finance and Economics.
In the “Top Class” nomination, the best managers of the year were awarded: Alexander Minaev, Head of ARFF Service, Georgy Okunev, Head of Canine Team for Airport Security, Oleg Pautov, Deputy Head of Airfield Service for Airfield Operations, Sergey Potapov, Shift Supervisor and Head of Inspection Team for Passengers, Crew, Luggage and Hand Baggage of Aviation Security Service. Vnukovo International Airport is proud of its dedicated employees who have been working in the aviation industry for decades and contribute significantly to its development. The staff members were awarded with a title called Honored Worker of Vnukovo. This year, 16 people received special badges, diplomas and souvenirs.
