Vnukovo International Airport is ready for spring-summer season
In accordance with the approved plan, Vnukovo Airport conductted a review of the readiness of the airfield service equipment and search and rescue flight support service in preparation for the 2022 Spring-Summer period.
The review was conducted by a commission chaired by Leonid Shipil, director of the airfield complex, who noted: «As part of the airport’s preparation for the Spring-Summer flight season, a review of our service equipment is held on an annual basis to check the staffing of the fleet, to assess the technical condition of our equipment and our readiness to work in altered conditions, and to carry out the official tasks necessary to ensure the uninterrupted and safe operation of the airport.»
The equipment was presented for inspection by Mikhail Belousov, head of the airfield service, and Alexander Minaev, head of the search, fire and rescue service. For the airfield service, approximately 200 pieces of special equipment are ready to begin work at the Vnukovo airfield, including ambulifts, sweepers and vacuum cleaners, dump trucks, passenger cars, cranes, tractors, loaders, etc. For the search, fire and rescue service, fire trucks are ready to provide the 9th category of fire protection for the airport.
When checking the specialized vehicles and self-propelled machinery, special attention was paid to the technical condition of the vehicles, the serviceability of the radio stations for internal radio communication, flashing lights, and the availability of fire extinguishers, first aid kits and tow ropes.
The specialized equipment has been serviced on a seasonal and timely basis, and is fully equipped in compliance with the requirements.
All preparations for the Spring-Summer period are under the direct control of the Vnukovo Airport management.
